Another Countdown App — Privacy Policy

Another Countdown App (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is designed to respect your privacy. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and how your data is protected.

The App does not require an account. All your countdowns and settings remain private to your device unless explicitly used for a feature described below.

1. Information We Collect

The App collects and stores as little information as possible.

1.1 On-Device Data

The following information is stored locally on your device only:

• Countdown names, dates, and notes
• Notification schedules
• Widget configuration
• App settings, including preferred tone and whether contextual notifications are enabled

This data never leaves your device unless you choose to sync via iCloud.

1.2 iCloud Sync (Optional)

If enabled, Apple's iCloud service securely syncs your countdown data across your devices. All syncing is handled by Apple. The App does not have access to your iCloud account or any synced data.

No countdown data is ever sent to the App's servers (the App does not operate servers).

2. Context-Aware Notifications

If you enable Context-aware Notifications, the App uses a third-party AI service to generate short, friendly notifications based on your countdown.

2.1 What Is Sent to the AI Service

To generate notification text, the App sends:

• The countdown title
• The relative timing
• Your selected tone

2.2 What Is Not Sent

The App does not send:

• Your name
• Device identifiers
• Contact information
• Notes
• Location data
• iCloud data
• Any personal information outside of the countdown title

Only the minimum text required to generate the notification is transmitted.

3. Analytics

The App does not collect analytics, usage statistics, or tracking data. The App Store may provide aggregate, anonymous analytics separately through Apple.

4. Permissions

4.1 Notifications

Used to deliver countdown alerts and contextual notifications. You may disable notifications at any time in system settings.

4.2 iCloud (Optional)

Used solely to sync your countdowns across devices.

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following services:

• Apple iCloud (optional data syncing)
• OpenAI API (context-aware notification text generation; opt-in only)

No other third-party services are used.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. No account system exists, and no personal data is collected.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect improvements or changes in the App. The latest version will always be available on our website.
